Leaking fork seals

After removing the dust caps i saw a little rusty oil bath, a bright sign of leaking fork seals.

I ordered some new fork seals on Ebay at Pyramid seals.

But when i received them, they where a lot larger then the old one's.

So i complained about this problem and they would directly send me a new pair of seals, good service!

Bolts starter clutch

All three bolts of the starter clutch where loose and damaged.

I have bought three new stainless steel bolts and loctite to secure them.

Eumax ultrasonic cleaner

Type: UD300SH with 10L capacity.

For cleaning iam using Tickopur R33.

Iam using a speakergrille for the nuts and bolts.

First i have removed all the dusty body parts, they will be cleaned in the last stage.

After a hour of tinkering, the bike began to loosen weight from all kind of parts and liquids.

Filthy carburetors.

Unfortunately, the bike had more owners in the past who thought to be a mechanic.

Multible screws are damaged or missing.

To keep all the nuts and bolts separated, i wrote down where they come from.
Hopefully i'll know, by the time i mount the parts again, where they where coming from.

A new home

After the way back from the place where i picked my (new) vfr up, he gets finally a new home.

The next couple of weeks or months he will be standing in my garage, next to his big brother a Honda VFR750 RC36-1 from 1990.
